Message from the Head of the Afar Regional State Education Bureau
Education is an essential tool in the struggle to effectively end the poverty that has pervaded the country for centuries and step on the path of development.
It is not an easy task to develop the country’s human resources with knowledge, skills and morality that is essential for development in every category. It is a key task that we must do to achieve our full potential as a nation and as a whole.
If education is to produce citizens who are qualified at this level, it should not be an effort at a certain level of education or a few entities, but in a complete way, from the lowest to the highest. This means that the effort to end up with students who have entered each chapter is necessary and appropriate.
This means that we will be more effective in the process of moving forward from the ground up.
Therefore, emphasis is placed on ensuring quality, internal competence and equitable access to education from pre-primary to higher secondary education in the entire education programme in the region.
The sector can achieve this mission when it is led by competent and motivated leaders at all levels, empowers and organizes all stakeholders to do their part while providing a clear mission, ensuring that the required resources are provided in sufficient quantities and in a timely manner.
In this regard, we have produced schools that have proven that we are on the right track through the work done over the years and have implemented the general education package and been able to transform student outcomes. However, they are still limited in number today. Therefore, I would like to urge all parties to pay attention to this initiative so that it can be strengthened to the desired level.
